In this course, residents in their first years of training will train their skills in operative anatomy and simple fracture treatment on human specimens.

In 2021, this summer course will be held for the first time as a cooperation with the “DGU Junges Forum” and the “DKG Junges Knee”.
The focus of this newly developed course concept are the most important surgical approaches in the area of the upper extremities and the knee joint.
​
Young experts will guide you during the operations as instructors and provide immediate feedback as well as valuable tips and tricks, ensuring that after the course you have a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the core techniques of surgery.

The following topics are part of the course:

Training of the most important basic surgical techniques.
​
Correct choice of the upper extremities and knee joint approaches corresponding to the existing fracture.
The most important knotting techniques.

Analysis of biomechanics to determine surgical approaches.
​
The most important suture techniques.
