Course Details
This course offers trauma surgeons a unique opportunity to train complex procedures on pre-fractured human specimens with an intact soft tissue mantle.
With our hands-on course concept "OK, DOC!", we optimally prepare you for your next surgical procedure. The theoretical part includes in-depth discussions on treatment decisions and surgical techniques for the shoulder and elbow. You will receive valuable tips for structured planning, making your surgical approach more efficient.
Through the multi-vendor principle, you will become familiar with various implant systems for managing fractures of the proximal and distal humerus, as well as the proximal radius and proximal ulna. Working in small groups with experienced instructors, you will focus on surgical approaches, fracture management, and prosthetic joint reconstruction in a fully equipped wet lab.
With sufficient time for hands-on practice, Day 1 focuses on fractures of the proximal humerus, while Day 2 covers fractures of the distal humerus, proximal radius, and proximal ulna. Every step of the procedure can be radiologically documented. You will then have the opportunity to share and discuss your results with fellow participants and instructors.
Leading experts in shoulder and elbow surgery will guide you through the procedures, providing real-time feedback as well as valuable tips and tricks. Benefit from first-hand expert knowledge from top professionals in the field. We look forward to welcoming you to Cologne soon!
